From humble beginnings…
Joel Bein is a lifelong foodie. He started to learn how to cook as soon as he could reach a stove. Joel’s Father was a Jew from Brooklyn and his mother from New Orleans, so everything from the great Jewish delicacies to the southern French classics are all foods in his wheelhouse. Joel started Rub in 2014 as a traditional style BBQ and in 2015 he developed his own unique smoked meat/BBQ fusion style of cooking.
Rub has received high praise in the Tulsa Food Culture, including being named as a top BBQ spot by tulsfood.com in 2015, Best Veggie Dish – 2016 EAT STREET and 2017 Ripple – Tulsa Chef People Choice Award a long with fellow chef Chris Rivera.
What Are We Serving Today?
On any given week our menu might include our traditional-ish with a twist “regular” (lunch or dinner) menu, our full on taco menu every Tuesday or our Farm to Fork brunch menu featuring items sourced solely from the Cherry Street Farmers Market every Saturday.
In addition to weekly events, Rub is available for banquet/buffet, lunch/dinner drop offs or plated caterings. Joel will customize the menu for your event and will provide options that will meet any and all budgets. Let Rub help make your next event amazing.
